Google Merchant Center Account-Level Suspension Checklist
Published: June 9, 2026
An account-level suspension is different from item disapprovals. When your entire Merchant Center account is suspended, Google has determined that your store or business practices violate their policies at a fundamental level. Before submitting an appeal, you need to work through a systematic checklist to ensure you have addressed every potential cause.
Business Identity and Transparency
Does your website clearly display your business name, physical address, phone number or contact email, and return policy? Are these accurate and consistent with your Merchant Center account details? Google's policy team cross-references the business identity in your account with what is publicly visible on your website. Any mismatch is a suspension trigger.
Website Accessibility
Can Google's crawlers access all pages on your site? Check for robots.txt rules that block Googlebot. Verify that your checkout flow, policies page, and product pages are not behind a login or geoblocking that would prevent Google from verifying your store.
Product Accuracy
Do your feed prices exactly match the prices displayed on your website, including all mandatory fees? Is the availability in your feed accurate? Products listed as "in stock" that are actually out of stock on your site are a misrepresentation violation.
Prohibited Content
Does your store sell any products in Google's prohibited or restricted categories without the required certifications? Review the full list at support.google.com/merchants/answer/6149970. Unauthorized sale of restricted items results in account suspension, not just item disapproval.
Checkout Experience
Go through your checkout as a customer. Does the final price match what was shown in search? Are there unexpected fees added at checkout? Does the process complete without errors? Google tests checkout flows as part of their store review process.
Running the Audit
GMCSuspension.com's automated audit checks all 52 policy requirements including each item on this checklist. Running it before submitting your appeal gives you a documented record of every issue you found and fixed.
