Three places a Shopping ad can stop
A product only shows in Shopping ads when three things line up. If one of them fails, you see zero impressions, and Google Ads rarely tells you which one.
Merchant Center
A suspended account blocks every product. A disapproved product blocks only itself. Check Products, then Needs attention, in Merchant Center.
Your store
Google crawls your product pages and compares them with your feed. A password page, a missing price in the page markup, empty brand fields or missing policies all cause disapprovals or a suspension.
Your campaign
Approved products still need a running campaign with enough budget, a bid that wins auctions, the right target country, and listing groups that include them.
The checker above covers the store part directly, because that is the part anyone can see from outside. For Merchant Center and the campaign it gives you the exact places to look.
23 store checks, 7 account checks
Here is exactly what we read, so you know what a clean result means and what it does not.
Policies 4 checks
Privacy, refund, shipping and terms pages: do they exist, and do they hold real text instead of a placeholder.
Products 10 checks
Up to 50 products: GTINs, brand field, images, stock, titles, descriptions, duplicates and the Google channel.
Theme 4 checks
Password page, canonical tag, mobile viewport and the theme itself, the things that decide whether Google can crawl you.
Markup and pages 5 checks
Product schema on a product page, sitemap, cart, contact page and cookie banner.
What it cannot see: your feed file, Merchant Center itself and your Google Ads account. That is why the result adds 7 account checks for you to run. For a deeper look at every product page and the checkout, the free 52-check audit goes further.
Shopping ads not showing: common questions
Why are my Google Shopping ads getting no impressions?
Zero impressions almost always means your products are not eligible: the account is suspended, the products are disapproved or still in review, or the campaign targets a country your feed does not cover. Low but non-zero impressions usually points to bids, budget or weak product titles instead.
How long before new Shopping ads start showing?
New products usually take up to 3 business days to get reviewed in Merchant Center. A new campaign then needs a few days to start serving. If nothing shows after a week with approved products, check the campaign status and the listing groups.
My products are approved. Why do the ads still not show?
Then the cause sits in the campaign. Look for a paused or "Limited by budget" status, a target ROAS set too high for a new campaign, listing groups that exclude your products, or a target country that does not match the feed's country.
Does this checker need access to my Google Ads account?
No. It reads your public store pages, the same ones Googlebot crawls. Budget, bids and campaign status are listed as things to check yourself, because no outside tool can see them.
If Merchant Center suspended your account, read the appeal guide. If the reason is misrepresentation, the misrepresentation guide covers what Google looks for.
