Google Ranking Tracker That Emails You Every Week

20 keywords tracked per site. Every Monday, you receive positions with movement arrows and an AI action plan, no login required. From $9/site/month.

Passive monitoring versus active checking

There are two ways to track your Google rankings: you check manually when you remember, or the data comes to you on a schedule. One of those approaches actually works.

Active checking (what most people do)

  • You remember to check every few weeks, if that
  • You don't have a baseline to compare against
  • You forget which keywords you were tracking
  • A ranking drop sits undetected for weeks
  • You close the tab without taking any action

Passive monitoring (what works)

  • The report arrives in your inbox every Monday
  • Every week compares against last week automatically
  • Your 20 keywords are saved and tracked consistently
  • A drop appears in Monday's email with a note to investigate
  • The AI plan tells you what action to take

Passive monitoring doesn't require discipline or memory. You set it up once and the data shows up on a schedule, whether or not you were thinking about SEO that week.

What your weekly email includes

Each Monday email has the same clear structure so you know where to look for the information you need:

Feature overview

📧

Email, Not Just Alerts

The full report comes to your inbox. Not just a notification saying "something changed, log in to see it." The data is in the email itself.

📅

Every Monday

Consistent schedule, same day every week. You can plan your SEO work around it. No sudden reports at random times.

🎯

20 Keywords Per Site

Pick the terms that actually drive business for you, not vanity metrics. Track positions for the searches that lead to customers.

🚫

No Login Required

Everything you need is in the email. There is no dashboard you need to visit. No password to remember. The report is complete as delivered.

What to do when you spot a ranking drop

Monday's report shows a keyword dropped from position 8 to 16. Here's how to respond depending on the pattern:

Drop happened right after a site change

If you changed content, page structure, or title tags on the page targeting that keyword this week, the drop is likely connected. Consider reverting the change or refining it. The AI action plan will flag this correlation if it detects a recent change in your on-page audit data.

Drop with no site changes, multiple keywords affected

A broad drop across multiple keywords without any changes on your end often signals a Google algorithm update. Wait two weeks to see whether rankings stabilize or continue dropping. The AI plan will note if the pattern matches known algorithm behavior.

Single keyword drop, no obvious cause

A competitor may have improved the page targeting that same keyword. Search for the keyword and compare your page against the page now ranking above you. Look at content depth, title tag, and internal links pointing to the page. The AI plan will suggest specific content improvements based on what it finds in your on-page audit.

Frequently asked questions

What if I want to check rankings mid-week, not just on Monday?

Monday's weekly cadence is the designed workflow. If you need real-time ranking checks, Google Search Console's "Search results" report updates daily and is free. SEO Monitor is built for structured weekly review, not constant monitoring. Most ranking fluctuations within a week are noise, not signal.

How far back does the ranking history go?

Your full ranking history is kept from your registration date. You can log into the SEO Monitor web app to view historical ranking charts for each keyword going back to your first scan. The Monday emails show week-over-week change. The app shows the full trend line.

Do you track rankings in Google Maps or local pack results?

Not yet. We track standard organic Google search results. Local pack tracking (the map listings) is on the product roadmap. For local pack visibility, Google Business Profile Insights gives you free impression data for your specific listing.

Can I set up email alerts for sudden drops, not just Monday reports?

The Monday report includes a "notable movements" section that highlights any keyword that moved 3 or more positions. This effectively serves as a weekly drop alert. Instant drop alerts (same-day notification for any ranking change) are a planned feature for a future release.
